Imogene J. Gribbon, 93, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Thursday, February 3, 2011 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10 AM from the Cathedral of St. Paul, Birmingham, AL, with internment at Forest Hills Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. A rosary will be held at 9:00 AM with visitation to follow. Survivors include six daughters, Linda G. Woods, (F.J. Woods, III), Sharon G. Roebuck (Michael), Alice Gribbon, Loretta Smejkal (Steve Smejkal), Monica G. Neal, and Delores G. Diaz; one son, Frank J. Gribbon, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Gribbon, Sr. and two brothers, Robert C. Jones and Carl A. Jones. Pallbearers will be F. J. Woods, IV, J. R. Workman, Wendy Workman, Monica Neal, Ralph Diaz, Nathan Woods, Steve Smejkl and Andrew Smejkl. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN, or to the American Diabetes Association.
