I am Mildred and R.C. Talley's granddaugher and I loved Aunt Irma. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She was a wonderful woman, who loved and supported her family members. When my Uncle Tommy died, she was so kind to take care of my children who were small at the time, during his service. She was a strong, wise lady and I know she is with her beloved Charlotte and Uncle Melvin. May God bless and comfort her family.

To know Irma Talley was to love her. She was a polite and kind soul. She was witty and sharp as a tack.
She loved her daughter, Keri with all her heart and appreciated how she took such good care of her.
We called Ms. Irma's walker her Cadillac. Because it was difficult for her to walk we would take a vaca (as we called it) and a subway sandwich, etc. out to Bell Rd. and watch the deer and buffalo roam. She was fascinated by them. We would ride out in the country and she would tell me stories of her father working for the Cotton Gin in Prattville and how she lived high up on a hill and that her house had 16 steps up to it.
She truly touched me with her stories and kindness.
I'm so thankful Keri had someone so loving to raise her and what do you know. Keri has all of Ms. Irma's wonderful qualities and then some.
Ms. Irma, a true Jewel in this world of bad will shine on in my mind.
She will be greatly missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Talley. But my greatness is when I think of her is how sweet and kind she always was. Whenever I would see her she always had a smile on her face and a kind thing to say. Please know we will keep you in our prayers. We love you.
