

J C Morris, 88, was born March 22, 1938, in Alabama, and died April 10, 2026. He was a formal and respectful presence to those who knew him, and he made his home in Wetumpka, Alabama. J C will be remembered for the steady, devoted way he lived his life and cared for those around him.
J C proudly served in the US Air Force retired and also retired with the Department of Energy. He was a Vietnam war veteran. He retired with the distinguished rank of Chief Master SGT, a reflection of his commitment, discipline, and years of faithful service.
J C was preceded in death by his parents Hubert Clifton Morris and Carley Hall Morris and siblings Gracie Waken, Minnie Morris, Billy Morris and Judy Lynn Morris Doss. He is survived by a son, Joseph C. Morris (Cynthia), of Wetumpka, Al; daughters Terry Warlow of Villa Rica, Ga, Cindy Clemons of Eclectic, AL, Patricia Chance (Rick) of Wetumpka, and Lisa Parr (Phil) of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by his sister Delores D. Hanlon; grandchildren Donny Warlow, Joshua Clemons, Christopher Houser, Cory Clemons, Courtney Houser, Lee Smith, Amanda Cardinal, Taylor Parr, Tyler Chance, and Emily Scott; 23 great grandchildren; one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
In his personal time, J C enjoyed golf and Alabama Football—interests that brought him both relaxation and joy and often provided a welcome reason to gather with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo in Montevallo, AL, on April 16, 2026, at 1:15 pm.
