Jacqueline Elizabeth Sanders, 80, passed away on October 3, 2026. Born November 9, 1945, Jacqueline will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude for a life marked by steady devotion, generous care for others, and an enduring work ethic. A resident of Montgomery, Alabama, she carried herself with quiet strength and a consistent, guiding faith that shaped the way she loved and served those around her.
Jacqueline’s days were often brightened by simple, meaningful routines—exercising, enjoying salads, and savoring coffee shared with her friend, Wilma Hatcher. She also took pleasure in watching Alabama football, welcoming the season with the familiar comfort of a well-loved tradition. Her faithful spirit was especially evident in her active involvement at Dalraida Church of Christ, where her presence reflected a life grounded in belief and lived with purpose.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60+ years, Billy Wayne Sanders, and by 11 siblings.
She is survived by her son, Sidney Sanders (Laurie); her daughter, Connie Hatcher (Steve); and her grandchildren, Scottie, Timothy, and Tiffany. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Taylor, Tucker, Harrison, Tatum, Hudson, Mylen, Harmony and Alaha; as well as her sisters, Faye and Reba.
Family and Friends Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, on October 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Graveside Service will follow at Sanders Cemetery, 873 Co Rd 1119, Goshen, Alabama 36035, at 12:00 pm.
