James F Barclay, 74, of Hope Hull, Alabama, passed away on October 19, 2026. Born December 9, 1951, James will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him. After his passing, the love he gave so steadily remains—quietly present in the lives he touched and the memories held close.
James graduated from Lanier High School, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life shaped by dedication and purpose. He went on to work as a self employed Architect, a path that reflected both discipline and commitment, and one through which he left a meaningful imprint in the work of his hands and mind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Barclay and Ruth L Barclay, and his sister, Donna Barclay.
Those who knew James knew a man who was truly beloved—valued not only for what he did, but for the steady presence he offered. He took joy in being a sports fan, especially Auburn Football and baseball, and he also shared a special bond with his dog, Prince, whom he loved.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Montgomery Humane Society.
