
Benefield, James Adolph, 91, SMSGT, USAF, Retired, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 8th, 2011. He was born in Houston County, Alabama on November 7th, 1919. He was a WWII and Vietnam War veteran, life-long member Alabama Masonic Home and Alcazar Temple, retired from Interstate Oil Company, and a member of Frazier United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Robbie M. Benefield, and grandson, Stephen P. Romilly. He is survived by his son, James Kenneth Benefield, daughter, Robbie Gayle Romilly, sister, Glady Calhoun, sister-in-law, Ressie M. Hnatt, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Reverend Roy Sublette officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Greg Benefield, Mark Benefield, Michael Gillyard, James Michael Gillyard, Lance Dees, Larry Curry Jr., Kenny Curry, and John Curry.
