James Wesley Solze Jr. transitioned to heaven March 15, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents James Wesley, Sr. and Gladine Schrader Solze of Fremont, Ohio. He is survived his wife of 57 years Linda Monk Solze; his daughter Sonja Peaspanen (Tom) and son J. Wesley Solze III (Ginger); his grandchildren, Thomas and Lauren Peaspanen, Kaylee Hart (Michael), and Kristopher (Lauren) Baker; great granddaughters, Riley, Indie, and Toni; as well as her sister, Marlene Jasper.
Jim is a graduate of Green Springs High School, Green Springs Ohio and Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He retired from the United States Air Force and the State of Alabama, Archives. An accountant that spent many years in several private businesses after retirements, Jim served on the Maxwell Credit Union Board of Directors for 38 years. He was a long-time member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and had the opportunity to serve the Lord as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Royal Ambassador (RA) Leader and Coach.
A family and friends' visitation for Jim will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3604 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A celebration of life memorial service will follow at 2:30 PM. An interment is set for Monday, March 24, 2025 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy. 119, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
