

James Harmon Williams, 82, of Legrand, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was a long time member and elder of Providence Presbyterian Church. He was also in the plumbing and heating business in the Montgomery area for over 50 years and was a co-owner of Perry and Williams Plumbing and Heating Company. Later he founded Harmon Williams Plumbing and Heating Company in 1980. He was a cattle and hay farmer.
Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Bobbie Bozeman Williams; two sons, Dr. Jim Williams (Charlie) and Bob Williams (Dene’) and two grandchildren, Jude and Isabella Williams. He is also survived by a sister, Sarah Jean Barfield (Wayne), several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Celebration of Life will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2:00pm with Pastor Aaron Fleming and Missionary Chuck Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Grant, Scott Carroll, Stan Carroll, Rick Young, Clint Ellis and Ben Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Cris Ellis and Jimmy Rogers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church, 25 East Old Hayneville Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36105.
