Yates, James Edward (Jim), age 74 ,passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 after a short illness. Mr. Yates was born August 31, 1935 in Marianna, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Lillian Yates. Mr. Yates is survivored by his loving wife of 52 years, Twyla Yates; a son, Rick Yates; a daughter, Tracey (Danny) Watters; two grandchildren, Amanda Watters and D.J.Watters; a brother, Bobby Yates of Winston Salem,NC; sister Clara Nutt of Marianna, FL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Chaplain Bill Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Coaches Marty Baker, Dusty Baker, Gregg Baker, Michael Toms, Craig McKissisk and Jason Norred; honorary pallbearer, Grady McInnis. The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
