My big brother. Jason was the perfect big brother. He was patient, he was gentle, he was protective and he reluctantly played barbies with me for hours. We had this one game we always played, it just went on like a Star Wars saga. He would use his action figures to be the evil force and my dolls were the good guys and he would articulate the game to challenge me, he said I couldn’t just always win because I was the good guy, I had to be smart too.

There’s no bond like a sibling bond. Someone who’s raised with you can simply read your mind across a room and know every important and small detail about you. They know how to make you laugh and they know exactly what to say and not say when you are down. They know your peeves and your passions. Jason was my first best friend.

He had this way about him, he didn’t speak much but when he did you listened because you knew he was usually right even if you didn’t want him to be. He had a beautiful heart and was eager to fix the broken, he was good at fixing things, finding solutions. His loving nature, grace, and advice helped pave my childhood, my teenage years that made me into the woman I am today.

“Nothing of me is original, for I am the combined effort of everyone I’ve ever known.”

I am forever grateful and proud to have been his sister.

Rest easy big brother

Dear Valerie and family,
I remember Jason as an intelligent young man in my French class and as a friend of Ben’s. Also I am reminded about celebrating his high school graduation together. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

These are the years I remember most with Jason...staying summers with my Aunt Valerie to help watch him...I think it was more for him to keep me out of trouble 😉.. he was always smarter than the average kid...full of engery...kind and loving...I will always treasure our time together...we grew apart as we grew older but the bond we shared in his early years will forever and always hold...Jason was a remarkable man never to be forgotten!! ❤

Jason was a great friend, posessing one of the most creative and inquisitive minds I have ever known. May he now sleep in the realm of Morpheus, and dream eternally.

I still can't wrap my mind around this. He deserved so much better. This man was one of my very best friends, and now I can never repay him for all the kindness, help, and advice he showered me with during the worst time of my life. There is so much more I want to say, but can't find the words. He was amazing and I will miss him everyday until the day I die. I loved him dearly, and I hope those who also loved him may find the answers and healing they need. Rest in peace love. Till we meet again in the cosmos.
