Mr. John C. Raley (J.C.), 80, of Wetumpka, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. He retired from Goodyear as an automotive mechanic after 30 years, followed by employment with Beaver of Montgomery and Bama Supply. He was a member and deacon of Perry Hill Road Baptist Church. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Most of all, he was a man who loved the Lord and was ready to go home to be with his Savior. He made an impact for Christ on this earth and will be greatly missed!
He is survived and loved by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Raley of Wetumpka, who took care of him during his recent illness, a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tim Whiteley of Camas, Washington; a brother, Lomax (Diane) Raley of Andalusia, Alabama; his grandchildren, Caleb (MaryKatherine) Whiteley, Sarah Whiteley, and Hannah Whiteley; along with several nieces and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Marion and Eunice Raley, along with his son, Tim Raley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Perry Hill Road Baptist Church with Pastor Stephen Nulph and Bro. Ron Beckham officiating the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Perry Hill Road Baptist Church, with Leak Memory Chapel officiating.
