Jean Frances Laney Smith, age 82, of Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Smith; parents, Cecil W. Laney & Bertha Rabren Laney; brother, James Cecil “Jimmy” Laney, Sr.; and beloved son-in-law, Grant Henderson.
Loving survivors include her son, Mark Smith of Montgomery and daughter, Linda Henderson of Millbrook, Alabama.
Mrs. Smith was a loving mother who liked to exercise and was a good friend to all. She invited others to church and was a longtime member of Dalraida Church of Christ since 1963.
Visitation will be at noon on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Dalraida Church of Christ with a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dalraida Church of Christ Missions.
