Jeanette Faye Truett

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Herbert W. Truett; her parents, Charles L. McMurtrey and Dezma McMurtrey; her brother, Charles McMurtrey, Jr.; her sister, Sara Arnold; and her grandson, Conner McArdle.

She is survived by her sons, Cliff McArdle (Suzan) and Joe McArdle (Lucretia); her 6 grandchildren, Blake (Brittany), Josh, Madison (James), John (Vicky), Nathan, and Angela; her siblings, Sue Pritchett and Fred McMurtrey; her sister-in-law, Melva McMurtrey; and her 12 great-grandchildren.

She was affectionately called grandmama by her grandchildren. They will always remember her asking for their school schedules so she could pray daily for them.

She was affectionately called Aunt Nette by her nieces and nephews who all adored her.

Jeanette will always be remembered for her smile, her laughter, her giving nature, and her love for God.

A visitation for Jeanette will be held Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Stephen Whitehead will be held at 11:00 AM.
