Jesse James Davis, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, was born on August 4, 1939 and went to be with our Lord on November 25, 2013. Jesse served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1958 – 1962. After his service, he began a successful 40 year career in the heating and air and sheet metal business in Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm with Bro. Roger Olsen and Earl Crutchfield officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his son, James Paul Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Faye Davis; daughter, Ginny D. Hughes (Robin); two sons, Danny Davis (Melanie), Tim Davis; five brothers, Walter Davis, Billy Davis, Carl Davis, Gene Davis, Robert Davis; one sister, Dean Phipps; and grandchildren, Jeremy Hughes, Z.A. Hughes (Michelle), Amanda VanDamme, Cameron Burrows, Caden Davis, Addisyn Davis, and Cullen Davis. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hughes, Z.A. Hughes, Andy Davis, Don Davis, Shawn Davis, and Adam Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Lewis, Carson Davis and Chris Hayes.
