On January 8th 2013 Jesus reached down taking Jimmie Lou Allred’s hand and took her home with Him. She left her earthly home on Tuesday afternoon surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
She was preceded to Heaven by her parents Rodolphus and Velma (Boswell) Worthington and sisters Leah Grace Worthington and Margie Ellen Gardner and her first husband of 27 years Walter Herbert Gandy Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years Milton Travis Allred, daughters Jeanie Lowe and Marcia Morrione, sister Jeanette (Dave) Gardner, 3 grandsons Greg Parker, Joseph Morrione Jr and Marcus Morrione and 4 great-grandchildren Shane, Sydney, Michael & Brandon. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was a member of Boylston United Methodist Church for many years. Jimmie Lou and Milton loved to square dance and did so into their 80’s. They also enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states with her sisters and their husbands. They were also active in the clown unit at the Alcazar Shrine. She was a long time resident at Lake Martin.
Funeral Services will be held Monday January 14th 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel. Family visitation is from 12 to 1 pm and friend visitation from 1 to 2pm. Celebration of her Life will be at 2 pm by Reverends Paul Turner, Marvin Ennis and Ed Deabler; graveside services will follow. Active pall bearers will be Greg Parker, Joseph Morrione Jr.. Marcus Morrione, Dave Gardner, Matthew Burns and Doug Boswell. Honorary pall bearers are Shane Parker and Michael Russell.
She will be blowing her whistle in Heaven and will be truly missed. Love You Doll (from Milton), Mom and Nana.
