Jimmy was born in Montgomery, Alabama, to Bobby and Dorothy Hicks. After graduating from Lee High School in 1969, he then attended Huntingdon College and studied business administration.
He is survived by his brother, Bobby Hicks, sister Janet Mathews (Jimmy), his companion Dottie Tyrrel, six nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Dorothy Hicks, and sister-in-law, Louise Hicks.
A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
