Joan Marie Maciupa, age 77 of Montgomery, AL, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. Mrs. Maciupa was born in Breda, Iowa. After marriage, she traveled through five different states with her husband as he worked and she attended college for bookkeeping. All of which while raising three beloved children. She retired from the accounting department at Colonial in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Maciupa was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin Ludwig, Violet Dierenfeld Ludwig; brother, Alan Ludwig; and her brother-in-law, Dave Muhlbauer. Survivors include her husband of 56 Years, James Maciupa; children, James T. Maciupa (Donna Loyd), Deborah (Keith) Brant, Scott Maciupa; grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) LeVan, Brian Brant, Tiffany Brant; great grandchild, Olivia LeVan; sisters, Marilyn Muhlbauer, Sharon (Gary) Faber; sister-in-law; Mary Ann Ludwig; and other relatives and friends.
