John Tom "Coach" Jones was a tremendously inspiring person who is no doubt a loss to us all in fact we have been enriched and in an equal degree protected by the many national and even earthly defense measures that this person has participated. May the family have peace we cherish the special memories. “He will render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore.” May we all rejoice in this good news of this everlasting peace. (Isaiah 2: 4) Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I knew of Coach Jones from his first days at Lee High Schoool. Although our paths did not directly cross (I was in the band) I knew him to be a fine example to all the students there. He brought well deserved attention to a new school. He is missed.

I am very sorry for your loss. However, you can take comfort in the Bible, specifically at 1 Thessalonians 4: 14, which says "For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those have fallen asleep in death through Jesus."

My thoughts and prayers go to the whole Jones family at this time of your loss. Coach Jones was a fine man and coach. I had the honor of playing under him at Troy in 1972.
