John Plant Golden, 90, of Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bowman and Bessie Golden; his wife of 64 years, Billie Joyce Golden; brothers, Leland F. Golden, Bowman P. Golden and sisters, Elizabeth Evans, Martha Sue Rutland and Bobbie Jackman.

John is survived by his son, John M. Golden; daughter, Connie J. Golden; grandsons, John Wesley Golden (Kelli) and James Brian Golden (Mollie) and great grandchildren, Avery Golden, Bowman Golden and Kinsley Golden.

He retired from the Western Railway (WA&P) and Central of Georgia.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10:30am-11:45am, at Leak Memory Chapel, with a Graveside service to follow at 12:00pm at Greenwood Serenity Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to East Tallassee United Methodist Church, 105 Central Blvd., Tallassee, Al. 36078, the Montgomery Human Society, or a charity of your choice.
