

Haire, John Herbert 84, a longtime resident of the Snowdoun community died peacefully at home on March 31, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Myrtice Haire, brother Kendrick Haire, and sisters Barbara Barlow and Sarah Kelly.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Bryant Haire; his daughter Sharon Haire Bell (Robert), his son Steven Mark Haire; his grandchildren John Cody Haire (Brittany), Willis John Bell (Sarah), and Rebekah Lynn Bell; a great-grandchild John Waylon Haire; his brother Henry Haire (Delila); and a host of nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Johnny”.
John was born in Greenville, Alabama on January 27, 1942. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1970. He was the owner of H&M Trailer Repair for 51 years. He was a faithful member of the Liberty Church of Christ. John enjoyed camping, fishing, taking care of his cows, and spending time with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held at Leak Memory Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 10:00 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at Leak Memory Funeral Home with Mark Jones officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Cody Haire, Willis Bell, Wesley Barlow, Dale Moncrief, Dave Moncrief, and Phillip Hamrac. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Lewis and James Pugh.
