

On June 14, 1982, Edwina Jolene Butts was born to William E. (Bill) Butts and Jo Ellen (Jody) (Culp) Butts.
She is preceded in death by her father, William E. (Bill) Butts and leaves her mother, Jody Butts; two brothers, James (Jamie) Willis, Jr. (Penny) and Jason Butts (Heather); two nephews, James Willis and Curt Willis (Rachel); one great nephew, Luke Willis, and numerous other family members and friends.
Jolene lived in Montgomery, Alabama her entire life. She was a member of Perry Hill Methodist Church. She attended Flowers Elementary, Goodwyn Junior High, and Jeff Davis High School. After high school graduation, Jolene attended Job Corp in Gadsden, Alabama where she trained for and received her CNA license.
Her main interests were band, horseback riding, and swimming.
During all her years, she was a Brownie, Girl Scout, school band member at Goodwyn and Jeff Davis, and enrolled in Jeff Davis’ ROTC program.
Jolene later attended Montgomery Therapeutic Recreation Center in Montgomery. She was a member of their equestrian team. Going to several competitions, she received several medals and trophies and enjoyed going to Camp Asca.
Jolene enjoyed helping with activities at church and doing things for others.
Pallbearers will be Jason Yeomans, Tommy Guest, Al Guet, James Willis, Joel Falkowski, and Chris Culp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Curt Willis, Joe Smith, and David Price.
