Joyce H Bishop

Joyce H. Bishop, 87 passed away peacefully on February 6, 2013 at John Knox Manor II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Bishop. She is survived by her sons, Ken Bishop Jr., Rus Bishop, and Bob Bishop; grandsons Ken Bishop III. (Meredith) and Blair Bishop; great grandsons Pierce Bishop and Preston Bishop and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce enjoyed a successful career in real estate sales primarily with Lowder Realty and finished her career as the head of the Senate Enrollment Department for the Alabama State Senate. Upon retirement, she moved to her beloved beach house in Seagrove Beach, FL and spent many years enjoying the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico. Joyce was a talented artist and enjoyed arranging dried flowers, painting in oils, and china painting. Her service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Wesley Gardens and John Knox Manor II for the compassion shown and the care provided for Joyce.
