

Juanita Cooper Curtis, age 92, a long-time resident of Montgomery, passed away on Dec. 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion Matthew Cooper and James Curtis, and son-in-law Clyde W. Miller. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Harry and Judy Cooper of Daphne, AL; Raymond and Shirley Cooper of Montgomery, AL; and one daughter Marilyn Cooper Miller of Montgomery, AL; three grandchildren and husbands Tiffany and Matt Pugh of Hardaway, AL; Heather and Michael Weldon of Tallassee, AL; and Crystal and Herbie Roberson of Daphne, AL; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Curtis was born in Vada, Georgia, and taught school in the Georgia and Alabama school systems and later retired from the State Revenue Department. She was a charter member of the Heart of Dixie Ramblers Camping Club and enjoyed traveling with the club and her family. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
