Juanita Jeanette Enloe

Juanita Jeanette (Buckley) Enloe, 80, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Enloe, Jr. and her daughter, Tanya Sue Enloe. She leaves behind three children: Rhea (Hal) Wynn from Montgomery, John (Mariah) Enloe from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Vohn (Candy) Enloe from Guntersville, Alabama; ten grandchildren: James (Lindsay) Wynn, Jacqui Wynn, Blake (Brooke), Brock, Brooke, and Britton, Ella Rhea, Quinn, William, and Linnea Mae Enloe; two great-grandsons, Easton and Brodie Wynn; and one brother Clarence (Mary) Buckley from Stockdale, Texas.

Jeanette was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on July 13, 1940. She graduated from Couch High School in Myrtle, Missouri, in 1959, and married John Smith Enloe, Jr. on September 3, 1960. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harding University (Searcy, Arkansas) in 1975 and her Master of Education from the University of Mississippi (Oxford, Mississippi) in 1979.

Jeanette dedicated her life to taking care of her family, raising her four children, teaching kindergarten, and serving others. As a mother, she showed her children by her example how to know and love the Lord and be active in his service. As a kindergarten teacher, she influenced students at Lone Star School outside of Doniphan, Missouri, and at Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery. Upon her retirement from teaching, she became an avid worker for Faulkner University as a part of Friends for Faulkner. As a faithful member of the church of Christ, she constantly looked for ways to be of service to others, often cooking all morning in order to deliver meals or sweets during visitations in the afternoon.

Services will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the University Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Antioch Cemetery at Shellhorn outside of Troy, Alabama, immediately following. Donations can be made to the Montgomery Inner City Ministry or the University Church of Christ Benevolence Ministry.
