Judith Carol Wallace Murphy, 67, Sept. 3, 1947 – Aug. 5, 2015. Judi passed away at Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation Center, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a devoted school teacher supporting elementary education. Her life was centered around family and enjoyed snuggeling up with a good book. Surviving family includes Burl Murphy; daughter, Gena Hancock (Christopher); grandson, Cole Hancock; mother, Nettie Wallace; brother, Tommy Wallace (Mikki); sister, Janet Fleming (Mark), cousins and loved ones. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation Center for their time, love, and caregiving over the years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 9:30AM – 10:30AM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Rd., Montgomery, AL 36109. Burial services will begin at 11:00AM at Oakwood Annex Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or to St. Michael and All Angels’ Episcopal Church, 5941 Main St., Millbrook, AL 36054 in memory of Judi Murphy.
