I have many memories of Judy Vance. She was truly a force of nature (despite her stature).
I remember a few holiday meals when I hosted them at Wares Ferry Rd. I remember her mischievous smile and laughter. Her unique perspectives and wise advice. Her fierce love for her family. And the lightning that you could almost see flashing behind her eyes when she was angry or protective over her family.
Judy was one of a kind and I know she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. My prayers for comfort and the peace that surpasses all understanding from the Lord.
And I pray that the sorrow eases soon, and that the space left in your hearts from her absence is filled with beloved vivid memories of love and laughter the way she would want to be remembered.
It is true that with great love comes great sorrow. But as children of God, rest easier knowing that this is not the end, but a temporary absence of the flesh. For true love never dies, it lives on in the heart until we are reunited.
Rest in peace Judy Vance. My love and prayers surround your family.

I first met Judy in 1975 when Charles and I were married. She accepted me into the family and made me feel welcome. I came to learn that she was accepting of most things that came her way from a country bumpkin sister-in-law like me to the great tragedy of losing her husband to cancer when he was only forty and she had three children to raise. She also accepted the positive things that made her life better with grace and humility. We will miss her. Till we meet again rest in peace Judy Frances Russell Vance.

Mommy, I will miss you so much!!!! You were the best mom anyone could have ever asked for and wanted. You raised three children after losing dad and I know it was not easy at all. You worked hard to take care of us and make sure we had what we needed. You gave great advice and taught us right from wrong but you let us make our own mistakes and learn from them no matter how hard a lesson it was for us to learn but you were there to pick up the pieces and love us no matter what we did. You always made sure we knew we were loved and cared for and even as adults you were still there to help us raise our children. You helped raise children who were not biologically yours, Kevin and Brandon but even now after all these years they still say you are their momma Judy and they love you and will miss you so much as well. You gave up a lot of your life to help me raise my children, especially Rylee when I was in a hard place in life. Your grandchildren will miss you so much and they all loved you with all their hearts and knew they had the best grandmother ever. I hate that you will not be here to watch the three youngest grow up and to watch your great children grow up. Madison will miss you so much and I hate you never got to meet Damon. I am glad you are with daddy now can be together and your parents who I know you missed as much as we will miss you and with your sister who you missed so much that we could all tell and it hurt to know how much you missed her but now you are all together. I love you so much and I will miss you more than anyone can imagine you were my everything and loved me so much and I was your baby, your little angel that you thought you would never have. I am glad God picked you to be my mom I just hate he needed to take you home to him. I promise to finish school and make you proud and to love myself every day! I will keep you close to my heart and love you every day. Love you always, your little Angel, Shannon, Tristen, Rylee, and Damon!

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. My condolences. You will be missed so very much Aunt Judy.
