
Royal, Julius H., 90, of Grady, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2012. Born in Crenshaw County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Leon W. and Minnie Belle Davis Royal; 3 sisters, 3 brothers and 2 wives, Marguerite E. Royal and Frances E. Royal. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII he served in the European Theatre and at the Battle of the Bulge. He spent his life farming and was retired from the ASCS. Survivors include his son Julius H. “Butch” Royal, Jr. and wife Linda; son Donald Royal and wife Tammy, all of Grady; daughter: Rhaeann Wilmeth and husband Billy of Alexander City; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of special friends and family. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, a loyal friend and will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, June 25 at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Thursday, July 26 at Grady Church of Christ with Minister Dennis Sanders officiating. The remains will lie in state beginning at 11 am and burial will immediately follow the service at Sentell Cemetery in Grady. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, grandson in-laws, and great grandsons.
