June (Evans) Richards, age 84, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. June was born March 1, 1938 in Luverne, Al. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Guy Evans and Odessa Surles Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Henry W. Richards and son Donald B. Richards (LeAnne), two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her children Theresa C. Blankenship (Mostafa), Sandra G. Wilson (Mark), Ronald W. Richards (Leigh), Gerald A. Folmar (Amanda) and 11 grandchildren; Travis B. Folmar, Amy M. Hunt, Avi Kyle Kupferberg, Ashton H. Kupferberg, Matthew S. Wilson, Kayla W. Moye (Shane), Jessica R. Chappell (Tye), Logan R. Bone (Zach), Karsen G. Richards, Hayden D. Richards, Hayley L. Richards and 15 great grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to serving her family and others faithfully. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She loved gardening and keeping her yard full of flowers and plants so all could enjoy their beauty. She played the piano proficiently by ear. She loved the Lord and her family and prayed many prayers over them. She was a member of Rigby Street Baptist Church and had recently been attending Eastern Hills Baptist Church with family. She lived a life of love and sacrifice. Her greatest joy was in serving others.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM immediately followed by a chapel service officiated by James J. Wilson, III at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
