June Vallancourt, age 87, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born and raised in Pineville, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ruby and Odell Carr. She attended Pineville High School and participated in their sports programs and graduated in 1954.
Mrs. Vallancourt was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher and director for many years. She worked for AAFES on Maxwell Air Force Base for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her son Rick Vallancourt, infant grandson Bart Vallancourt, her parents, and sister-in-laws, Alicia Carr and Jean Vallancourt.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, David Vallancourt, son, Joseph Vallancourt, granddaughter April DeMedicis, grandchildren Scarlett and Whitman DeMedicis, brother, Jimmy Carr, nephews, Mickey Carr and David Vallancourt, and niece, Angela Dickerson.
