Karen "Kari" Roberta Bogard, age 80, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Kari was born in Omaha, Nebraska to David and Alice Marie Magnuson. While she was preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Lorissa (John) Cobb and Jodi (Jason) Donald; her grandchildren, Kayci Prohaska and Lexi Prohaska; and her life partner of 20 years, Dave Hammers.
A legal secretary and piano teacher, Lori and Jodi are quick to talk about what a devoted mother and grandmother Kari was. A former military spouse, Mrs. Bogard traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe. She loved music, proficient as a pianist, drummer, and clarinetist, she also loved to sing in Frazer's church choir. She also enjoyed her cats, Sporty and Spunky, P.E.O., travel, bowling and the Red Hat Society.
A Friends and Family Visitation is set for April 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm with a Chapel Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm at Frazer Church with Neil
