Karen Sue Morgan Montgomery, a loving mother and wife, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on August 11, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Everette Bland Morgan and Ida Sue Hobson Morgan. She was known for her kindness, selflessness and devotion to her family. Karen graduated from Auburn University and retired from ADECA after 37 years and 11 months of service. Karen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Otis (Gene) Montgomery; children, Clay Montgomery, Erin Rebecca Shamburger (Austin Shamburger), Kathryn Montgomery Prince (Robert Prince III), all of them of Montgomery, AL; and sister, Linda Hager (Mike) of Milwaukee, WI. A private family service is going to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital.
