Keith Nolan Helms

Keith Nolan Helms, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 19,, 2023 at home. He was born on July 18, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended North High School in Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 1980, his family relocated to Montgomery, AL for him to work for Jim Wilson and Associates. He was a Certified Public Accountant for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Daisy Helms and his brother Larry Helms.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jackie Helms, sons David (Sheila) Helms, Donald (Linda) Helms and Dennis (Jacque) Helms; grandchildren Bradley, Matthew (Kerissa), Mark, Jonathan, and Ali; sister-in-law Ann Helms and niece Terri (Tim) McDonald. Jackie’s children Frank (Charlotte) Evans, Jeff (Darleen) Evans, Thomas (Cheryl) Evans, Tim (Teri) Evans; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Leak Memory Chapel at 2pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Wellness Foundation. The family would like to thank the employees and volunteers with Southern Care Hospice.
