Lawrence Crowder

Crowder, Lawrence E.(Gene) of Wetumpka, AL died Monday, July 22, 2013 after a brief hospitalization in Charlotte, NC. He was born in Montgomery, AL and became the husband of Ann McAneney Crowder. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 63 years, Ann, a son, Kenneth Lee and his parents, William T. Crowder, Jr and Lenora Ann Brown Crowder. He was one of their seven children. He is survived by his brothers, Robert and Philip; sister, Nonie. He is survived also by two daughters, Linda Knapp, Laura Horne; two sons, Lawrence “Larry” Crowder, Jr. , Joseph Cowder; seven grandchildren, Patricia Bacon, Michael Knapp, Lawrence (Larry) Crowder, III, John Allen “JAC” White, Travis Crowder, Anna Crowder and Sarah Crowder; ten great-grandchildren, Bobby Bacon, Taylor and Carson Knapp, Tyler, Brady, Chase, Mason and Asher Crowder, Rylan and Jillian White. Mr. Crowder was a retired Federal employee and a retired Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #7. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wetumpka, AL with Father Albert Kelly officitaing.Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
