With grateful hearts for a life richly lived in faith and service, we celebrate the life of Lela F. Foshee, born January 27, 1930. Lela’s life was a beautiful reflection of devotion—to her Lord, her church, and her family. She is survived by her daughters, Carron Morrow and Donna Perkins. Her Grandchildren Jennifer Caufield (Jimmy), Matthew Morrow, Tellisa King (Craig), Chris Hart (Christa), Ashley Boyer, Justin Foshee (Xiaoyu Liu) and numerous Great-Grandchildren.
A faithful member of Vaughn Park Church, Lela found her greatest joy within the walls of her church home and also her kitchen at Personal Touch. Her faith was not simply something she professed; it was something she lived daily. She was a steady and loving presence in worship services, Bible studies, and fellowship gatherings. Whether offering a warm smile at the door, bowing her head in prayer for someone in need, or singing hymns with a full heart, she embodied quiet strength and unwavering belief.
Lela’s church family was dear to her. She faithfully supported the ministries of Vaughn Park Church and lived out Christ’s call to love one another for many years. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. When someone needed encouragement, Lela was there. When a family faced hardship, she was ready with prayer and comfort and especially food. Her life was a testimony to servant-hearted love.
Beyond her church, Lela’s goodness radiated into her home and community. She cherished her family deeply and instilled in them the values of faith, integrity, and perseverance. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed not only by her love but by the powerful example of a woman who trusted God through every season of life.
Those who knew Lela will remember her warm heart, her steady faith, and the peace she carried with her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in every life she touched and in the enduring faith she passed down to her family.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
Her family rejoices in the promise that she now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her Savior, and free from all earthly burdens.
