Linnea Ann Carlin entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, May 19, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father Harold Martin Claussen, mother Alice Martha Claussen, and baby daughter Andrea Lynn Carlin.
Linnea was happily married to Jim Carlin for forty-one years and they had two wonderful children, Jay and Krista. Early in their marriage, Linnea chose to end her career early with AT&T to fulfill God’s career choice for her – be a stay-at-home mom to nurture and raise Jay and Krista. Her profound love for her family was the anchor of her life.
Linnea deeply loved her life at home, in her neighborhood, and through the ministries at the Church of the Highlands. She had a servant’s heart and served in the Dream Center and through partner ministries. Her favorite outreach was Giving Hope at Christmas, and she loved to make sure there were enough bicycles for the families to choose from.
Linnea and family loved to travel. She started traveling when she was in her early 20’s and then married an Air Force guy that helped fill in many other countries. We also tried to include the kids in all our travels, and so many memories were made while traveling throughout the years.
She is survived by her loving husband James “Jim” Carlin, son James “Jay” Carlin (Elizabeth), and daughter Krista Carlin.
A visitation for Linnea will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 one hour before the service at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109.
The funeral will be held at Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Church of the Highlands in Montgomery, AL.
Linnea will be laid to rest in at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, Omaha, NE.
