Dr. Cardinal will be missed by all . I will miss seeing him on his afternoon strolls in the neighborhood. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories and great joy he brought to each of you.

 I am so sorry to hear of Dr Cardinal's passing. I have fond memories of him when I started working at Cardinal Dunn Animal Hospital. He was so kind and so patient with me as a new member of the profession. I will always remember him.

I was deeply saddened this morning to learn of Dr. Cardinal's death because I have many fond memories of his friendship with my father and me.  My first quail dog was a pointer given to me by Dr. Cardinal and I gave him the name "Doc."  Naturally, that dog could hunt!  I still have a photo of "Doc" in my study and every time I glance at it, I warmly remember the person who gave him to me.  My wife, Linda, and I always trusted Dr. Cardinal with the care of our pets until the time he retired from his vet practice.  Over the years, I continued to occasionally see Dr. Cardinal in the halls of the state legislature as he tirelessly pursued those wildlife and outdoor issues for which he was passionate.  Montgomery, and the state of Alabama, has lost a true southern gentleman.    May his family be at peace with the loss of Dr. Cardinal.

I was so saddened to read of Dr. Cardinal's death. He did so much good for so many for so many years. He will be sorely missed. May happy memories help to comfort you all in these most difficult of times.

I work for the Alabama wildlife Federation as the Wild Game cook-Off Coordinator.  Dr Cardinal laid the foundation for my current position.  he was a great man & I feel privileged to know him.

Go rest high on that mountain Bud...... Your legacy will live on in the veterinarians you mentored.

I remember my dad  taking our pointers in to him in the 60's and getting a rabies and " deworming" for 6 bucks!  Now I've been practicing for 35 yrs and things have changed! But, I'll always remember Bud! He was a very good man & I'm sure father, husband and grand dad

Bud was a friend to all, a teacher and a mentor to younger veterinarians. He was a wonderful person  and lived an extraordinary life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time of loss.
