Lynn Ford Poe

Lynn Ford Poe passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Syble Poe. Loving survivors include his beloved wife, Alice Poe; children, Dallas Tipton (Haley), Lindsey Poe; grandchildren, Rhett and Lillian; as well as his cousin, Roger Wilson (Virginia) and their daughter, Sara Jewel Wilson.

After over 30 years of work, Lynn retired as assistant director of Alabama Printing and Publications. He enjoyed several different hobbies such as scuba diving, fishing and boating. He was a master Mason of 33 degree. He served in the US Air Force as a cryptographer. He loved lake life and was an avid Alabama football fan! His son, Dallas, is a racecar driver and his father was his most supportive fan. Lynn was even part of a band who would play for the dances at Lee High School and Capitol Heights Middle School back in the day. He lived a full and fun life and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Leak Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
