Mack Edward Bazzell

Master Sergeant (Retired) Mack Edward Bazzell, age 82 passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Ed and Geneva Martin Bazzell, two brothers Thomas Franklin and Willie Lee Bazzell and one sister Evie B. Caddell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sandra Dickey Bazzell, one son Michael Edward (Angelia), four grandsons, two sisters Esther Hollon (C.J.) and Frances Demant and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mack served his country faithfully and was a Vietnam vet. He retired from the U.S. Army (20 years and Civil Service, Chief of Public Affairs, Army Recruiting Battalion at Gunter AFB (23 years). He was also past president of Central Alabama Bowling Association (15+ years).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ivy Creek Hospice for their love and support.

Graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery at 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Chaplain Stacy Austin will officiate the graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery on June 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
