Mandy Burton

In addition to her children and husband, Mandy is survived by her father, Jack Burton and preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Burton. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Ezzatallah and Fatemeh Elahiyan. Mandy will be missed greatly by her two sisters, Melinda (Carel) Ligeon, Molly (Scott) Killman; sister-in-law, Bita Elahiyan; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Hadley, (Michael) and Cannon, Grayson and Davis.

Mandy leaves behind cousins, relatives and dear friends in Alabama, West Virginia, Tennessee, England, Europe, and Iran. Her legacy of love and grace is felt everywhere. Her love for the Lord will comfort all.

Mandy was born at the Air Force Academy in Colorado on November 28, 1964. She went to high school at Robert E. Lee in Montgomery, Alabama and attended Samford University, Birmingham, AL. Mandy grew up in Eastern Hills Baptist Church. After college, she attended Frazer United Methodist Church then Harvest Family Church. She love loved her church families dearly. Mandy taught in the Montgomery Public School System for 25 years. She will never be forgotten by her family, friends or students.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Leak Memory Chapel with Pastor William McNeese officiating. The burial will follow at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery. The family will begin to accept friends at 1:00 PM, two hours prior to the service. Leak Memory Chapel is directing.
