Margaret Mock passed with peace and grace on May 5, at the age of 92, with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Mock, and survived by her daughters Jan Gill (John) of Montgomery, Kathleen Mock of New York, Robin Parquette (Frank) of Montgomery; grandchildren: Sharon Pope (Jason), Bartley Wilson (Cherry), Taylor Gill (Sarah), Alex Parquette, and Meg Parquette; great grandchildren: Kendall Knudsen, Sarah Knudsen, Roland Wilson, Hinton Wilson, and Samson Gill.
Margaret was born in Tampa, Florida, but grew up outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. She raised her four daughters in Montgomery, Alabama. She worked at Wilson, Price, Barranco & Billingsley until she retired to enjoy her grandchildren. She loved sewing, painting, jewelry making, and pottery. She was a member of the Joy Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and PEO. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was her family, friends and the church.
A Service will be held on Saturday, May 11 at First United Methodist Church, 2416 W Cloverdale Park. Visitation at 10 am and the service at 11 am. If you wish, donations may be made to the Respite program at First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
She leaves us rich in memories, recipes and many stories to tell.
