Margaret Annette Shoaf, 76, Passed away peacefully at home on January 19th, 2022. She was born on June 9, 1945, in Honoraville, Alabama to Frank Leslie Pierce and Mary Wilma Cowles. She grew up tending the garden and gathering pecans after school with her four sisters. They also enjoyed spending time behind a piano singing their favorite hymns. Her only daughter by her first husband, Charles Talley, was born and raised in Honoraville and they eventually made their way to Montgomery, AL. A mother and housewife, Annette also worked for a dry cleaning service for roughly 10 years. She and her second husband, Ken Shoaf, married in 1984, and have enjoyed the last 37 years together. The two would have celebrated their 38th anniversary together this coming April. They remained in Montgomery for many years before moving to Eclectic, AL to enjoy a more rural lifestyle and to be closer to family. Annette attended Santuck Baptist Church with Ken until her health declined and prevented her from doing so. Ken has always been a loving and faithful husband, has been a wonderful caretaker. She maintained a love for the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. Her favorite verse, John 3:16, is listed in the program as it would have brought her heart joy to share the gospel at her funeral.
Annette was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her sisters Alene Bennett, Evelyn Mosley, and Jewel Pierce. She is survived by her husband Kenneth D. Shoaf, her sister Jeanette Burns, her daughter Tammy J. Butler (Husband Bud Butler), her grandchildren Brystal J. Butler and Kendal L. Fausnight (Husband Justin J. Fausnight), as well as 10 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
