Mrs. Margaret McMichael Travelstead, 82, who resided in Montgomery, AL., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Tallassee Health and Rehabilitation. She is preceded in death by her parents: George H. Gould and Margaret Gould, her husband: Charles E. Travelstead, a son: Edward C. Michael Jr., and a brother: Vernon Gould. She is survived by her children: Carlton (Pumpkin) McMichael (Gail), Troy McMichael and Connie Johnson (Stacey), three sisters: Janice Hanks, Sherry Howell and Randalene Motes, four grandchildren: Krystal Cortes, Samuel McMichael, Destiny McMichael and Astacia Johnson, four great-grandchildren: Samuel McMichael Jr., Skyler McMichael, Alex Cortes and Nina Ragsdale. Mrs. Travelstead was active in the Assembly of God Church and was a strong independent woman who raised her children through Christ and was always willing to help others unselfishly. She was also a volunteer with the March of Dimes and Hospice. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 pm CST in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with a public visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be held on Tuesday, August, 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm EST at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Pastor Jim Ingram will be officiating.
