Margie Ruth Little

Little, Margie Ruth McCullers, age 91, a longtime resident of Montgomery, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at her home in Pike Road with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Jesse Little; Sister, Jimmie (Edward) Vincent; and her parents, J.D. McCullers and Susie McCord Baker; and her grandmother, Lellie Thompson McCord. She is survived by her brother, Mack (Mary) Smith of Klamath Falls, Oregon; her loving children Sherry (Jim) Lightner of Holtville; Janice (Chris) Lucero, of Bernalillo, New Mexico; Brenda (Johnny) Williams, Pike Road; Michael (Donna) of Montgomery Little; Susan (Garry) Wimberly of Montgomery ; and Alan (Barbara) Little of Pike Road. Eleven grandchildren, Billy Head, Debbie Head Ouellette, Rev. Derek Williams, Chris Williams, Mike Little, Jr., Ronnie Little, Shannon Williams, Angela Little Segrest, Lesli Salter Carter, Brian Little, Brittany Little, and 22 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, in Montgomery, for more than 55 years. She retired from the City of Montgomery Fire Department, administrative staff, in 1981. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 12:30 pm., with ministers, Rev. Larry Armstrong of Montgomery, her grandson, Rev. Derek Williams of Enterprise, and Rev. Lawrence Phipps. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 am prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Will Little, Chris Williams, Shannon Williams, Brian Little, Billy Head, Mike Little, and Ronnie Little. Honorary pallbearers will be Donna Little, Barbara Little and Larry Payne. Special thanks to all her caregivers and Hospice of Montgomery.
