Marianne P. Clements

Marianne Clements, age 80, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Marianne is preceded in death by her parents Dr. John Randolph Penton, Jr. and Jean Ann Evans Penton. She is survived by her sons, Kirby Penton Clements and John Tillman Clements (Kellie), her grandchildren, Harper Elizabeth Clements, Elaine Penton Clements, Jeffrey Persson Clements, John Tillman Clements Jr., and Samuel Gray Clements as well as her sister, Bette Jean Penton Lawrence (Jeff).

A graduate of Lanier High School (1962) she attended Auburn University where she was a Kappa Delta. In her youth, Marianne was an excellent equestrian competing in many horse shows around the state. Volunteering at the Montgomery Humane Shelter, she adopted several greyhounds over the years. She was a homemaker who loved her family, she will be remembered for her warm spirit and encouraging demeanor.

Visitation for Marianne will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service for the immediate family officiated by Rev. Jeff Lawrence.
