Marie Clark Blackmon, age 87 of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. She was a charter member of Woodley Baptist Church then became a member Thorington Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her husband, John Jay Blackmon; son, Larry Clark Blackmon; and her sister, Carolyn Clark Horn. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Blackmon Collins; granddaughters, Megan Elizabeth Collins, Molly Brooke Collins, Kim (John) Blackmon Bowman; three great grandchildren; and her niece, Sandra Herring. The visitation will be held from 10:30-12:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Leak Memory Chapel followed by the service at 12:00 PM with Tom Wilbanks and Eddie Newton officiating. The burial will be at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery. Leak Memory Chapel is directing. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Blackmon’s caregivers for all of their help and compassion.
