My dear English teacher set me on the right path.  I was blessed to enjoy her instruction for two years at Lanier and have never forgotten her words of wisdom.

Joel, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was one of my favorite people because she always treated us kids with kindness and respect. She was a very rare teacher that could make her subject exciting to a bunch of bored teenagers. She is remembered fondly after all of these years. May God bless you and encourage you and the rest of the family.

I knew Mrs. Dubina from church (Epiphany Lutheran), from the classroom (JDHS), and from my friendship with Kate. I remember her as calm, kind, and a wonderful teacher. I share your loss.

I was blessed to have Mrs. Dubina as a teacher, but more to share our common faith. She taught far more than English in her classroom. Prayers for all the family, especially Joel and Kate, knowing that there is great comfort in the assurance of her homegoing and that we shall all see her again in His time.

Mrs. Dubina was one of the major influences in my life. I was fortunate to be her student in the 10th and the 12th grades at Jeff Davis. I've taught high school English for 40 years with her as my inspiration.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of the Dubina family. It has been many many years since I sat in Mrs. Dubina's  classroom at Lanier and wondered to myself how would I ever pass that English course. It took a few years ,but I came to realize that I had been very fortunate. We had some very good teachers at Lanier. We also had some very exceptional teachers at Lanier. Mrs. Dubina was an exceptional teacher and a wonderful person all rolled in one. I am sure your family has only wonderful loving memories of this very dedicated and creative person.

I am very sad to know Marjorie has passed from this life but joyful knowing she is in the presence of our Lord. Marjorie was my senior (class of 1968) English teacher at Sidney Lanier High School. Her excellent teaching was certainly inspiring and encouraging to my becoming a teacher of English. Years later, I became acquainted with Marjorie in the "Shakespeare Players of Montgomery" and was so happy to know her as a friend. I will miss her....what a beautiful, gracious lady.

I am deeply sorry sadden about ypur loss. I pray that you find comfort in the arms of the Most High. He will comfort you during this difficult time Rom 15:5

I'm truly sadddened to hear of Mrs. Dubina's passing, but happy that it's simply a passing on of a very sweet person. I remember her as one having such a sweet spirit and a pleasing personality. dedicated to her work. She can enjoy her rest now.

My wife and I lived next door to Mrs. Margie for 9 years and I can say she was truly a blessing. I would talk to her in the  mornings when she would be outside watering her plants. When my wife got sick she would come over sit and bring cookies that she and her granddaughter baked. Also, she would bring a upper room book to my wife every month for the past 3 years. She would tell us stories about her life before and after she moved to Alabama years ago. I will miss seeing her wave to us out her kitchen window. God-Speed, Mrs. Margie

I also had the privilege of taking Mrs Dubinas honors English classes at Jefferson Davis High School. She challenged us to think and love English . I can still quote my memorized poem and remember days she would take us outside for classes. I love her and her precious family.what a beautiful life well lived.I will always remember her.

I am so sorry to hear this.  My family thought so much of the Dubinas who were our neighbors when I was quite young.  Mrs. Dubina enrolled me in first grade when I was staying with her family while my daddy had brain surgery in NC.  Kathy(Kate) was one of my first friends!  Mrs. Dubina will be missed!

I am so sorry. Mrs. Dubina was one of my favorite teachers and a great chaperone on our European trip. So many wonderful memories. My thoughts are with her family.

My mother shared many good times and travels with Mrs. Dubina over the years. Mother really valued her friendship. She was an outstanding educator and gave many volunteer hours to organizations in Montgomery.

I was privileged to be in Mrs. Dubina's Honors English class at Jeff Davis H.S. during both my sophomore and senior years. I loved her class and have come to appreciate her influence on me more and more over the years. She was a wonderful, talented teacher, patient and kind!  During my freshman year at college, I visited her at JD and thanked her. Then many years went by before I saw her again at a JD class reunion in 2011. I was overjoyed to see her there! I'm so sorry to hear of her passing, but even the great people of the world, like Mrs. Dubina, must eventually leave us. My condolences to all her family and friends. I will never forget her.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Unbelievably, her friend from years past, Doris Bottoms, passed away on January 20, 2016.  Mrs. Dubina was always a sweet and kind person.  My sincere condolences to your family and loved ones.

I, like MANY Lanier students,loved & respected Mrs. Dubina. She was always calm & encouraging to her students.  She inspired you to always do your best & it's because of her encouragement I went to NYC to pursue a modeling career.
I was able to tell her over the years how she had influenced me & that she was my very favorite teacher EVER!
So thankful I had the privilege of having known Mrs. Dubina! She will be missed & remembered.

I had the honor and pleasure to work with her during her time at the Montgomery Police Department.   She was an elegant lady that I admired and loved talking with when I had an opportunity.  God bless her family.   We will all miss her.

I had the extreme privilege to be in Mrs. Dubina's English classes all 3 years at Lanier. She was a Great teacher as well as friend. We kept in touch over the years and it was always a pleasure to have Mrs. Dubina attend our Lanier class reunions, especially our 50th last year! So many fellow classmates agreed with me and told Mrs. Dubina at our 50th that she was responsible for their interest in English, teaching, writing, etc. I really enjoyed talking to Mrs. Dubina and visiting with her over lunch and I will really miss her.
