

WEBB, Marjorie Anderson, a former Montgomery resident of 46 years died peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the age of 90. Mrs. Webb was born in Leslie, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia; afterwards employed in Banking and later becoming a wife, mother, and housewife. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother that has gone to be with her Father in Heaven. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William Damon Webb, Sr.; her parents, Walter Tinley Anderson, Sr. and Bessie Sumerford Anderson; her brother Walter Tinley Anderson, Jr. Mrs. Webb is survived by her son, William Damon Webb, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Susan Webb; grandchildren, William Damon Webb, III; Shannon (Mark) Varner; Renee (Glenn) Golden; Barry (Melinda) Wright; great-grandchildren, Cole Varner, Kaley Varner, Katherine Golden, Kyle Golden, Zachary Golden, Anna Claire Wright, and sister-in-law, Joan Anderson. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at Leak-Memory Chapel, with graveside services will follow at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Craig Carter officiating. A special thanks to Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City, Wetumpka Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice for all the love and care with Mrs. Webb’s journey with alzheimers. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any memorial donations be made to Children’s Harbor at Kowaliga or the Alzheimer’s Association.
