Martha Walters Shirah

August 23, 1947 - May 6, 2025

Shirah, Martha Ann, 77, a resident of Millbrook, AL, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Martha grew up in Montgomery, AL, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, was a long-time employee of Jackson Hospital and attended Journey Church.

Ms. Shirah was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Oree and Frances Lucille Walters.

She is survived by her children, Danny Shirah (Kathy), Michael Shirah (Diane); brother, Gerald Oree Walters, Jr. (Sara), sister; Linda Sue Yell (Danny); grandchildren; Hunter Shirah, Tyler Shirah (Mallory), Connor Shirah, Logan Shirah (Mallie), great-grandchildren; Easton Shirah, Ellie Shirah, Huckston Shirah. And a number of loved nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel. Following the visitation, A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Mozingo officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
