
Armstrong, Mary Frances Earp, born January 4th 1928 in Montgomery, Alabama. The daughter of Mamie Redding and Joseph Herbert Earp. She was a lifelong Catholic often showing up at daily Mass with fresh vegetables to give away. She was baptized at St. Peter’s, a founding member of St. Bede’s, where she married to Daniel E. Armstrong on Aug 16, 1949, then a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found her joy in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was active in the Pike Road Civic Club and many church activities. She was pre- deceased by her parents, her husband, Dan, her sister Helen Earp Jordan, her brother Joe Redding Earp. She leaves behind her 4 children: Dan (Chris) Armstrong, Marianne (Beth Barber) Armstrong, Beth (George Warner) Armstrong, Dennis (Barbara) Armstrong ; Butch & Carol Cauthen (her brother in law & wife), Barbara & Joe Kern (sister in law & husband); 7 grandchildren Adam Pierce, Charlie Pierce, Suzanne McBride, Mike Armstrong, Daniel Armstrong, Lydia Armstrong, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank her many caregivers and friends at Waterford Place especially her companion for the last 3 years, Mary Rudolph. Pallbearers will be Pat Jordan, Mark Jordan, Brian Jordan, Adams Pierce, Warren Burt and Rob Reynolds. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5th 2011 at Leak Memory Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6th 2011 at 10:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic church with Father Charles Troncale officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at 11:30am. Arrangements under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL.
