Mary Emma Daniel Davis

DAVIS, Mary Emma Daniel, age 99 of Hueytown, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Princeton Baptist Hospital. She was born June 13, 1915, in Macon County, Alabama. On February 18, 1933, she married her husband, Grover C. Davis, Sr. She is preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Davis, Sr.; daughter, Judy Carrell; parents, Shelly Ross and Lizzie Leila Daniel; brothers, Irvin Daniel, Ross Daniel, George W. Dirickson; and sisters, Hattie Kirk, Doris Stanford, and Ethel Conway. Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Grover (Ruth) Davis, Jr., and Joyce Rittmanic; grandchildren, Chris (Cynthia) Rittmanic, Eric Carrell, and Sandra (Gary) Garside; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at St. James United Methodist Church. Rev.
